Minecraft- York Minster Cathedral

Never thought I was ever going to finish this Cathedral. Broke ground on this project in the middle of January and finally finished this monster March 10th. However, I do say that this has to be my favorite structure that I have constructed in minecraft yet. The detail in this was incredible.

The church itself is a scaled down replica of York Minster Cathedral in York, Yorkshire, England. It is built in the Norman style of Gothic Architecture and is one impressive building if you ever have seen a photo to it or been there. The only thing I couldn't do at such a scale was the beautiful Fan Vaults/Arches that are inside the real building. Instead I went for crossed arches. Another mishap was the fact that one wing of the cathedral is actually 1 row of blocks shorter than the other side xP. Embarrassing but still really not noticeable at all. Outside the Cathedral and attached to it is the Chapter House. On the inside is row upon row of chairs and at the end is where the podium and choir sit.
